The owner and foreman of a roofing company have been indicted on charges of involuntary manslaughter in connection with the 2008 death of an employee who fell off the roof of an apartment building in San Francisco, San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris announced last Monday.

The California Chamber of Commerce is urging legislators to oppose legislation that could dramatically increase the cost of doing business in California for both business property owners and their business tenants and in turn chill investments, jobs and the economy.
