The 2016 Safety Expo is a few short weeks away!  Early single registration for members and nonmembers rates will increase on March 11 to $150 for late and for on-site registration—the group rates for 10 or more will not increase.

As building industry colleagues, and past attendees of the Safety Expo, you know and appreciate the value and importance of education.  Training is a fundamental cornerstone to any successful organization, and yours is no different – employers are consistently challenged to maintain existing training levels while coping with declining budgets.  The 2016 Safety Expo sessions will help your company cut costs while preventing injuries on the shop floor, as well as the job site through synergistic training involving aspects of general and construction industries.  The Expo is recognized for its commitment to safety, and the importance placed on developing people through training. Developing employees at all levels that are competent in safety (i.e., those that possess the knowledge, skills, and experience to perform safely consistently) is critical to any operation.

Outreach | Opportunity | Workforce Development

We also understand that the industry is now challenged by a shortage of labor sorely lacking in workers adequately trained in the various safety disciplines, and the availability of enough skilled trade labor to put all of the “stuff” in place to safety deliver a quality product on time and on budget.  Everyone is "ramping" up overtime to meet schedules and history tells us that safety and quality will be under pressure.  The already tough job of our safety and quality staff people just got a lot harder and more critical to everyone’s operations.  And the most important thing we can all do is take great care of the people we have!  We can provide the safest workplace possible for everyone.

For the 2016 Expo curriculum schedule, session tracks will offer the following:

  • Compliance and Certification: 10-Hour OSHA General Industry Training and Cal/OSHA 10-Hour Hazard Awareness for Construction; OSHA 10-Hour Course for the Construction Industry; Basic Plus Adult CPR Training (if your certification is older than two years, it’s time to re-certify); and more.
