OSHA Issues Final Rule Revising Cranes and Derricks Standard
On August 9, 2010, Federal OSHA issued a Federal Final Rule revising the Cranes and Derricks Standard and related sections found primarily in the Federal Construction Standard, 29 CFR Part 1926, to update and specify industry work practices necessary to protect employees during the use of cranes and derricks in construction.

Today I would like to share with you a special report that evaluates the benefits and challenges of issuing Pension Obligation Bonds (POBs) to fund a one-time contribution to the Police and Fire Retirement System (PFRS) trust fund. I commissioned this report after City staff presented an analysis to the Finance and Management Committee this past spring.
