According to the 2010 census, the San Francisco/Oakland region is the second most densely populated city in the United States, after West Coast-neighbor L.A. This morning, the California Supreme Court issued its long awaited decision in Brinker Restaurant Corporation v. Superior Court (Supreme Court Case No. S166350). The case is one of a number of class action lawsuits pending in California in which plaintiffs claim that their employers failed to adequately provide them with rest and meal breaks as required by law.
