Lots of developments over the weekend as legislative leaders and the Governor tried to tie up the loose ends for the bonds and ballot initiatives before the deadline of July 3rd.
Workplace violence???
it's more serious and frequent than you may imagine. In fact, in California, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, it is the fifth highest cause of workplace fatalities in general industry. It's higher than slips trips and falls. Often it's not even the employee causing the violence.
What is an employer supposed to do? Cal OSHA requires all employers to have a workplace violence prevention program. The deadline for creating and implementing the program is today! Need some general information?
