This year's theme is “The Beginning of Next”, and PCBC has once again retooled itself to offer a family of conferences designed to engage and educate building industry leaders on what’s next for the industry, said Linda Baysari, the Show’s Senior Vice President for Conventions and Meetings.

“As we climb out of this recession and turn our attention toward recovery, we wanted to focus on what the industry will now be facing in terms of changing demographics, changing perspectives, and a changing marketplace,” said Baysari. “PCBC has a well-deserved reputation for being an innovative and thought-provoking tradeshow, and we plan on delivering on those aspects again this year.”

For 2011, PCBC is offering a series of conferences and forums throughout the three-day Show, each designed to address different aspects of the industry and marketplace. Back by popular demand are the Capital Markets Forum and Multifamily Trends Conference, the latter of which was once again developed in a partnership with Marcus and Millichap. New to the show this year are the Consumer Insights Forum, Innovation Strategy Forum and 50+ Housing Forum, as well as a series of workshops scheduled for all three days.

“We were encouraged by the strong positive feedback we received on the Capital Markets Forum last year and realized there was a demand for more focused education,” said Baysari. “We're giving top homebuilding leaders a wide range of options to explore on the top issues they face and will be facing in the very near future.”

Also back by popular demand is the notion of a redesigned tradeshow experience with educational opportunities being offered on the exhibit floor.

Last year’s Green Standards Pavilion has been retooled into the Green Pavilion and will showcase exhibitor solutions to green building challenges, while the newly created Renewable Energy Pavilion will offer a timely look at alternative ways to produce, store, monitor and use non-traditional energy sources.

The Outdoor Living Showcase is a dramatic new exhibit floor feature that will highlight products, designs, and installations that advance water and energy conservation and promote sustainable lifestyle. Another new floor feature will be the Home of Innovation, which promises to showcase next-generation smart products and integrated systems while exploring connected technologies in the home.

And as always, the Show floor will also feature the products and services of hundreds of the industry’s leading suppliers.
