Turner Construction and Union Bank are kicking off the FALL 2018 Oakland Turner School of Construction Management training program on September 25th in Oakland. Each class provides networking opportunities between other business owners and Turner industry experts that lead the class. The Estimating and Scheduling classes have an additional hands-on exercise that offer participants real life work experiences.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND Local, minority-owned, women-owned, disabled veteran owned, disadvantaged and small emerging businesses that are general contractors, specialty contractors and construction managers.
COST OF THE PROGRAM There is NO COST to program participants however, participation in the training program is a commitment to attend a minimum of 10 classes in order to receive a Certificate of Completion.
CLASS SCHEDULE Classes will be held twice a week mostly on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM beginning September 25th ending November 1st . Classes consist of two-hour courses in: Accounting Basics for Contractors, Estimating, Field Operations, Insurance & Bonding, Management, Business Development/Marketing, Project Delivery Systems & Contract Risk Management, Safety, and Scheduling.

SELECTION PROCESS
- There are only 20 spots available so only one participant per company will be accepted.
- To be considered, your firm must have been in business for at least one year prior to registration and actively performing work with either an “A,” “B” or “C” contractor license.
- This program is only for local, minority-owned, women-owned, LGBTQ, disabled veterans and small emerging businesses.
- If your company is selected, you will be notified on September 19th.
