State Compensation Insurance Fund has informed Builders Exchanges and the insurance industry about recent changes made within Group Programs.
If your workers compensation insurance policy is with State Fund and a part of the Builders Exchange of Alameda County Group Program 571, beginning October 1st, 2011, a NEW Group Program Number has been issued - now Group 825, Builders Exchange of Alameda County.
If your insurance renewal is a different group policy number than 825 and your membership resides with the Builders Exchange of Alameda County, you may have been inadvertently placed in another construction group. Group 571 will cease to exist after October 1st.
If unsure please ask your insurance broker or State Fund underwriting to confirm your Group Policy number is 825, and your company is receiving the maximum available benefits and discounts as a member of the Builders Exchange of Alameda County.
If your firm is not currently insured in a group program and you are an active member of the Builders Exchange of Alameda County, request a Group 825 policy quote from your broker or State Fund representative. If your firm qualifies, Group 825 participants receive a 6% discount off of an individual policy in addition to independent claims consulting and safety resources.
