Sacramento, CA – March 27, 2017 – The Federation of California Builders Exchanges (CalBX) announced recently that last week it had hit an all-time high with a daily count of 1,013 California construction projects in its Virtual Plan Room. Overall, the plan room ended its first year in operation with a total of 11,072 projects administered by CalBX’s professional staff.
CalBX expects to continue to increase its ability to provide bidding opportunities for the commercial construction community through its Virtual Plan Room platform.
Under the direction of CalBX Plan Room Manager Denice Walker, the virtual plan room has achieved higher quality reporting with enormous efficiencies in statewide reporting. Walker has led the development of a core team of plan room staff and aligned reporting with community relationships unique only to California Builders Exchanges.

The CalBX Virtual Plan Room is a statewide online plan room available through membership with one of its participating builders exchanges or through a CalBX Direct subscription. This state-of-the-art plan room contains the detailed information required by construction professionals to bid a project efficiently. With sophisticated filtering and tracking features, daily emails of project updates as well as nightly email notices regarding new projects, the CalBX Virtual Plan Room is a vital tool in connecting construction professionals to the projects they wish to pursue.
